The eagle eyed among you will have spotted that patches of soil have appeared in the grass. We have removed some very old shrubs with the purpose of planting more trees in that area during the winter months but not in exactly the same spots.  The patches have been planted with daffodil bulbs, raked level, grass seed sown and watered now we stand back and wait for it to look the same as the rest of the area in spring. Yellow rattle, Mimulus luteus, Campanula primulifolia and Scabious will be planted under the red central oak as we have more time available in November.
