GROUP VISITS We offer exclusive out of hours access to a min of 20 members ( pre booked) welcome on Tuesdays by car or coach. We’re sorry we can’t accommodate large groups at any other time. Photography groups welcome on Tuesdays and half term week for autumn colour. Must be booked in advance.
AVAILABILITY. We are now taking bookings for 2020. It’s important to check that the date you require is available before passing it onto your group, because we already have a number of dates reserved.
SCHOOL VISITS Our apologies to the little people but as a gardeners garden with 5+ water features the gardens are unsafe for visiting school / nursery groups .
TUESDAY GROUP TOURS WITH THE GARDEN OWNER Minimum number 20
The gardens are closed to the general public on Tuesdays and we have reserved the day to make it a special day for private coach parties/groups, when they have the garden to themselves. Your requested date will be held until 6 weeks before your visit date. Payment should be made one month in advance. This booking is non refundable. We’re sorry we can’t accommodate large groups on other days. Prices include Entry, Tour, Food & Drink as booked. Arrival times can be arranged to suit your itinerary.
SUMMER GARDEN TOURS April – Sept. Introductory talk followed by Garden Tour with Christine. After lunch a chance to revisit your favourite parts of the garden, ask questions & look around the nursery.
OPTION 1. Allow 3-3.5hrs. Arrival Welcome, History & Guided Tour of the gardens with Christine, followed by GARDENERS LUNCH; – Ploughmans or Hummus Platter followed by a Sweet Treat & Coffee. (Gluten Free Rolls available if previously requested.) Time to revisit the gardens or peruse Plant Sales.
OPTION 2 Allow 2-2.5hrs As above without lunch but including Coffee & Sweet Treat. Guided Tour with Christine.
OPTION 3 Allow 2hours. Guided Tour only.
AUTUMN & SPRING GARDEN TOURS ( Feb- March & Oct- Nov.) 11am – 12.30pm Garden Tour with Christine. Followed by Lunch of Soup & a Roll with Sweet Treat & Coffee. 12.30-1.30pm An accompanied ‘behind the scenes’ walk through the plant propagation areas, ask questions & look around the nursery or revisit your favourite part of the gardens.

- Christine will call you to confirm that your requested date is available within one week.
- We will provisionally reserve that date for you until six weeks before your visit date. If you decide against the visit please email us asap. so that the date is available for another group.
- One month before your visit or earlier please pay the full amount for minimum 20 persons to secure your day. Card or cash payment only.
- Confirmation of payment, Access Statement & Directions will be sent as an email.
Pre-paid Groups of 20 will be welcomed by the owner Christine Liddle and given a guided tour of the gardens. Refreshment tickets will be distributed on arrival and will avoid queuing in the coffee shop. It also allows individuals to roam between the nursery, coffee shop and gardens at will and in their own time if they do not want to be included in the tour. We can comfortably accommodate 20 people at present inside the coffee shop should the weather be inclement. On fine days there are seats for another 30 under the loggia on the tea terrace. Christine will be around to answer questions for the duration of your visit.
We are flexible, a number of variations are available, call us to see if we can help with your group visit.
We have on-site parking for up to 30seater coaches. / 22 cars and a drop off point with near off- site parking for larger coaches.
Special Evening Group Tours Tuesdays June /July only: min 25 – 30; cost £ 19.50 per person inclusive of entry, guided tour with the owner, Tea/ Filter Coffee & a cake or pastry.
Illustrated talks for winter evenings or daytime – suitable for mixed interest groups: U3a ,W.I., Horticultural Societies etc.
