2026 SPECIAL SNOWDROP TOURS                                                                                          Personally guided tours on  Saturday & Sunday Feb 21,22,28 & Mar.1st  start at 10 am before we open to general visitors.   Tour Duration approx  one hour.   £16 per head.  Free to Friends of Birkheads. £16pp for your guests & non members & £12.80 to RHS Members.  The gardens are already looking good going into spring. Booking recommended  Coffee Shop open from 11am-3pm.  Restricted  approx. 6 people. FULLY SUBSCRIBED

  Looking at winter blooms in the garden for scent & colour. with owner/designer Christine. Vibrant colour is coming from red, orange, black & yellow stemmed shrubs. Scented flowers Mahonias, Saroccoccas, Skimmias, Wintersweet &  Willows, Hellebores, Hardy Cyclamens, Primulas & Red foliage on Bergenias. There will be lots of Crocuses & Special Snowdrops  in flower. 

“ Snowdrops/ Galanthus in the Green”  

We have 100+ varieties of Galanthus on display in the gardens & some of our snowdrops are not readily available from other sources.  Because the more unusual Galanthus take much longer to multiply we divide only every third year and can quickly sell out of them, only plants reserved and paid for in advance will be guaranteed available for collection.  We therefore do not issue a complete plant list. 

A UNIQUE GIFT FOR MOTHERS DAY  ON SUNDAY 30th March. Why not join a small informal group ( max. 12 ) to appreciate the twelve garden designs & planting schemes. Ask questions & have your garden queries answered with a stroll around with  Owner/ Designer on Mothers Day Morning 10am start approx one hour.  The early spring bulbs will be in flower in the Wildflower Meadow & Orchard. Blossom trees flowering in the woodland £20 ea. Please pre book before March. 20th. The coffee shop opens at 11am for light lunches, Cream teas etc.
